Every Monday, the world gently slips into its familiar rhythm. Coffee brews warm and inviting, emails softly begin to arrive, and amid the rush of waking up and tackling the day, our bodies start to reconnect with that wonderful sense of momentum. It’s a small, comforting reminder that each week holds the promise of new beginnings.
Monday Morning, the second piece in the Doodles series, is my heartfelt tribute to that delicate moment when we shift from rest to responsibility. I started with a loose sketch—an abstract, lively figure caught in mid-motion—and it blossomed into a joyful mix of colors and lines that beautifully reflect both the challenge and the humor of starting anew.
There’s a charming universality in how we all navigate toward structure at the start of a week. The curved black lines—inessential gestures and playful scribbles—capture the lively chaos of thoughts coming together. The warm, vivid shapes ground the artwork, offering a promise of hope amid the vibrant noise. And right at the center, a gentle face appears: not quite awake, not quite ready, but full of quiet determination.
That’s the wonderful thing about a Doodle—it embraces imperfections, hesitation, and discovery. Every mark becomes part of a beautiful rhythm, much like how we put together our days, step by step, through uncertain moments. It’s a gentle reminder that the journey itself is what makes it special.
